The Hong Kong Macau bridge will start construction in 2009. It is not a dream. It is real plan in our near future. This 18 mile bridge is RMB37.6bn (USD5.5bn). It is announced that Bank of China fincance RMB22bn for the project and China central government and government of Guangdong province, Hong Kong and Macau will come up for remaining RMB15.6bn. The design of the bridge will finish in 2009 and construction will commence in 2009 as well.
